The nBook device standing open on dark slate, its two e-paper pages lit by warm rim light

nBook · a dual-screen e-paper device

Every textbook. One book.

nBook carries a student's entire curriculum in 300 grams — two e-paper pages that open like a real book, a tutor that grows with the child, and a back cover that charges itself in sunlight.

Chapter 01The form

It opens like a book, because it is one.

Children already know how to use a book. nBook keeps the form — a hinged cover, a fabric spine, two facing pages — and replaces the paper with two synchronized e-paper displays and a stylus that writes like a pencil.

Left page: the textbook. Right page: the student's own hand. The synchronization engine keeps them in conversation.

Five ways to hold two pages

A dual-screen synchronization engine manages how the pages relate — so the device behaves like a textbook, a workbook, an exam hall, or a tutor's desk as the moment demands.

Reference
Textbook on the left, notes and exercises on the right.
Comparison
Problem on one page, worked solution on the other.
Continuous
Both pages flow as one open book.
Interactive
Content on the left; the AI tutor answers on the right.
Assessment
Exam on the left, scratch pad on the right — with the anti-cheating examination fold.
Chapter 02The tutor

A companion that grows with the student.

Inside every nBook lives an on-device AI tutor. It builds a persistent picture of how a child learns — strengths, gaps, pace — and shapes explanations, examples and practice to fit. As the student advances, the companion unlocks new capabilities alongside them. No internet required.

Adaptive
Difficulty tracks performance across every subject, from primary through secondary curriculum.
Offline
A lightweight model runs on the device itself — tutoring works with no connection at all.
Aligned
Content follows the national curriculum, with textbook updates syncing when a connection appears.
Mesh class
Classrooms sync peer-to-peer — one teacher's device can seed a whole room, no infrastructure needed.
Proctored
The AI stylus detects handwriting biometrics for offline exam integrity.
Private
The learning profile lives on the child's own device, not in a data centre.

Chapter 03The sun

Charged by daylight.

The back cover is a solar panel. E-paper sips power — nothing at all while a page is being read — so a low-voltage solar charging circuit is enough to keep nBook alive indefinitely wherever there is daylight. A school with no grid is still a school with full batteries.

Chapter 04The page

Ink, not light.

A child's eyes were never meant to stare into a lamp. nBook's pages emit nothing — they reflect ambient light exactly as paper does, at print-grade sharpness, with a stylus digitizer layered beneath for handwriting that feels like pencil on paper.

Why nBook exists, told plainly.

The book, the companion, the honest state of the engineering, the gurukulam redefined, and the carbon story — measured, then claimed.

Chapter 05The mission

Lighter bags. Brighter eyes. Standing trees.

nBook was designed for the Indian classroom first — for the child carrying a third of their body weight to school, for villages where the grid flickers, and for the forests cut down every year to print what a 300-gram device can hold.
